Christian Nguyens
Christian Nguyens is an incoming freshman at Washington University in St. Louis, where he will study Computer Science and Finance through the Joint BUCS program.[1] A senior from Rock Hill, South Carolina, he is passionate about the intersection of technology and business, with particular interest in fintech and big tech.
Initially, his high school goals aligned with engineering, but a newfound interest in finance and technology led him to explore the intersection between tech and business — ultimately leading him to WashU's Joint Business and Computer Science program.[2]

Nguyens grew up in Rock Hill, SC, where he attended high school and developed an early interest in computers and problem-solving. Over time, this curiosity expanded into a broader fascination with how technology shapes financial systems and business strategy.
He hopes to work in fintech, big tech, or even start his own venture — fields where his dual expertise in CS and Finance would be most applicable.

Nguyens completed his secondary education in Rock Hill, South Carolina. During this period, he navigated the college application process independently, ultimately earning admission to Washington University in St. Louis — a top-15 university nationally.[3]

Nguyens is set to begin his undergraduate studies in Fall 2026, pursuing a joint degree in Business and Computer Science. The BUCS program combines rigorous technical training with core business education, preparing graduates for leadership roles across industries.

His primary areas of interest include financial technology, software development, and entrepreneurship. He is particularly drawn to how software can transform financial infrastructure and make markets more accessible.
